Five Islands Village is located on Antigua's Northwestern coastline, close to the capital St Johns. Named for five rocks in the sea nearby, the village is close to a number of picturesque bays and white sandy beaches. Five Islands Village is actually a peninsula jutting out into the Caribbean Sea, which gave the area strategic importance during colonial times. A fort built on the nearby highpoint, Mount Barrington, commands impressive views and is a must see for anyone visiting the area.
